Three Episode Rule: Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These (Episode 2: The Battle of Astarte)

So, with last week’s episode, I know a lot of purists are not liking the new series for many reasons. Voice acting, ship design, bad CGI, bishiefication of the main characters and so on. And to be quite honest I’m … Continue reading

Three Episode Rule: Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These (Episode 1: In the Eternal Night)

Seventeen years after the last episode of the Legend of the Galactic Heroes Gaiden OVAs were released, Production I.G. has a new animated adaptation of the long running and well-loved space opera written by Yoshiki Tanaka. I’ve watched all of … Continue reading

Quick Thought: Kino no Tabi -the Beautiful World- the Animated Series (Episode 3)

I was honestly disappointed in last episode, especially since the Coliseum episodes were one of the defining story arcs in Kino no Tabi’s initial animated series. But with this new episode erased all doubt.

Three Episode Rule: Two Theatres of War – Izetta: The Last Witch & Brave Witches Episode Two

Picking up directly from the last episode, Izetta’s opening amused me considering she appears to be flying a modified Lahti L-39 Anti-Tank Rifle as her primary broomstick. A little bit more about how Izetta and Finé know each other, as … Continue reading

Three Episode Rule: Two Theatres of War – Izetta: The Last Witch & Brave Witches

A new season is upon us, as new shows arrive to try and eat up my time. With the rather lackluster ending to Macross Delta in the last season, I thought some sense of normalcy can arise from the two … Continue reading

Three Episode Rule: Alderamin on the Sky & Qualidea Code

Of the few series I’m watching this season, I decided to devote a Three Episode Rule post on two series that I think has caught my interest for now. Alderamin looks and promises something akin to Madan no Ou to … Continue reading

TER – Haifuri (High School Fleet) Episode 3: In a Pinch in Pajamas

BOYS DO EXIST. The one thing that irked me with Girls und Panzer was the complete lack of guys, or any mention of males. Tankery being a ‘female’ art. At least the guys get featured here. And not exactly in … Continue reading
